GameWorld Wins Sprint PCS J2ME(TM) Application Design Contest

SANTA ANA, Calif., October 31, 2001 - GameWorld Technologies, Inc., a development and deployment solution provider, took Grand Prize honors at the Sprint PCS J2ME(TM) Application Design Contest at the 2001 Sprint PCS Developer's Conference for its multi-player puzzle game, Slam!

"Slam! is a very fun and creative game. This exciting new multi-player game application will provide
a compelling user experience," said John Yuzdepski, vice president and general manager of Sprintpcs.com. for Sprint PCS.

The contest, co-sponsored by Sprint PCS and Sun Microsystems, was in conjunction with Sprint PCS' recent announcement that it will deploy Java 2 Platform Micro Edition (J2ME(TM)) on Sprint PCS Phones when it launches the Sprint PCS 3G 1X network nationwide in mid 2002. Deploying applications using the J2ME platform will enable Sprint PCS to enhance the consumer experience by enabling more graphical and fun personalized interactive services for wireless devices.

Slam! is a multi-player game that allows up to four players to compete against each other, or computer-controlled bots from any J2ME(TM)-technology enabled phone. Players log in and battle it out with their friends in a game which uniquely blends action, puzzle-solving and tactical thinking for an addictive experience. Players use the phone's interface to shift rows of decorated blocks, "Slamming" their opponents for points when three or more blocks match.

"GameWorld designed, coded and tested Slam! in five days. This game truly showcases our team: a dedicated group who enjoy playing games almost as much they enjoy making them - creating fun, original, and competitive products for a broad audience on any device," said John Greensage, CEO of GameWorld.

"Our technology made the five-day turnaround possible through a radical paradigm shift in development technology. Applications created by our toolset require no traditional programming, and our server is built for networking applications on any platform," said W. Wood Harter, CTO of GameWorld.

GameWorld's team provides companies a turnkey client-server solution for the rapid and cost-effective development of high-end networked applications. These robust applications are delivered through GameWorld's integrated platform to anyone, anywhere, on any device. GameWorld's unique approach to application development and deployment eliminates many of the headaches associated with the production of end-to-end networked solutions.

GameWorld Technologies' unique development suite delivers applications that inter-operate across any Java or J2ME-enabled device including wireless devices, set top boxes, game consoles, PDAs, PCs and other embedded systems devices. In addition, GameWorld supports the HTML, WAP, SMS and XML protocols.

But GameWorld's technology is not only for multi-player games. Its development capabilities support a wide range of multimedia applications encompassing e-learning, interactive TV and embedded systems. Enabled applications include playing multi-player educational games on an embedded device versus opponents on PCs and TV set-top boxes, or a team of students from around the world sharing a simulated chemistry lab for interactive group e-learning.

"Motorola Ventures is focused on identifying and creating strategic relationships with next generation technology companies to enrich the Motorola customer experience," said Alex Komoroske,
Managing Director of Motorola Ventures - Western Region, which invested in GameWorld's latest financing round. "GameWorld Technologies has created a truly unique solution that will enhance the development and distribution of networked applications."
