John Greensage
- Founder, CEO and Chairman PureVis. Mr. Greensage led the
company from concept through successful development of the company's
commercial product line encompassing a mobile and Internet software
platform suite, line of applications, and operational services.
He is a business leader and serial entrepreneur with 17 years of
relevant experience in technology and science, managing R&D
and operations with P&L responsibility. He founded the company
in 1995 based on his vision for how the Internet would cause interactive
stand-alone applications in such diverse fields as education, training,
enterprises, operations and entertainment to evolve into networked
solutions enabling multiple users to collaborate by working and
playing together over their computers. Today, PureVis is trusted
by companies including AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile to provide
revenue generating carrier-grade mobile services and applications
to tens of millions of their customers. Milestones include closing
deals for distribution, investment and strategic partnering with
companies including Motorola and Nokia.
Prior to founding
PureVis, Mr. greensage was a Software Project Manager at NASA's
Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he proposed solutions and led teams
of top scientists and engineers in the development of advanced science
information systems for NASA flagship space flight missions with
$1 billion budgets. He successfully developed some of JPL's early
Internet-based application solutions and designed a visual programming
toolset for science data visualization to improve the productivity
of non-programming scientists. This work inspired a key aspect of
Mr. Greensage's vision for founding PureVis: to simplify greatly
software development by creating an all visual toolset that would
empower domain experts in business processes, education and entertainment
to easily implement and deploy rich networked application solutions
without needing to become programming experts. Previously, he led
teams in the evaluation of new technology ventures and operations
for the University of Houston Board of Regents while earning his
M.B.A. Magna Cum Laude.
Mark Skiba
- CEO BOTrader, and Cofounder, Previous CEO of Storactive, Inc.
BOTrader is an agent based financial market automated trading system
allowing investors to select agents based on track record and strategy
to conduct their own investments. Storactive is a venture-backed
continuous protection software maker. Previously, Mr. Skiba cofounded
and was President of Inset Systems, which he sold to Quarterdeck
for $27 million. He became Director of Development at Quarterdeck
launching CleanSweep, Quarterdeck's best-selling product.
William Terrell - Founder and CEO, Troika Networks.
Troika is a Draper Fisher Jurvetson backed company with three rounds
of venture funding, which has launched a family of fibre channel-based
network hardware and software. Mr. Terrell has experience creating
highly consulting business and transitioning it to a successful
hardware and software OEM by building strong teams to establish
technology leadership and translating this into market growth.
Kenneth Leonard - CEO and Serial Entrepreneur. Mr. Leonard
has been founder and/or CEO of a string of ten technology, wireless,
and Internet start-ups, with a strong record of successful exits.
Mr. Leonard is the Chairman of PeerPC, providing Internet based
collaboration tools for Microsoft Office and web application. Mr.
Leonard is the CEO of On Map, which dynamically generates interactive
maps in "real-time" over wired or wireless networks. He
is also the CEO and founder of NameTree, which supports, expands
and enhances the Domain Names System (DNS) and the Internet name
registration industry. Additionally, Mr. Leonard currently serves
on the Board of Advisors of Global Internet Ventures. Mr. Leonard's
string of prior accomplishments include:
- Founding
Spectrum, which produced one of the first wireless EKG monitors,
and was acquired by a leading medical equipment company.
- Founding
Analog Engineering Associates (AEA) to develop products for the
emerging high-end stereo - hi-fi consumer market. AEA technology
was sold to Sony, Marantz, and Sansui.
- Co-founding
the Video Graphics Corporation, providing the first full color
real-time digital special effects to be overlaid into analog video.
This technology was sold to the Ampex Corporation becoming the
core of their digital special effects products.
- Founding
TABNet in 1995 and serving as its CEO, leading it to became one
of the largest and most successful Web Hosting companies with
over 100,000 customers before being acquired by Verio in 1998.
Gary Yagi - Team Leader Software Development, NASA Jet Propulsion
Laboratory. Mr. Yagi worked closely with Mr. Greensage at
JPL and provided seed funding. Mr. Yagi has 25 years of experience
in advanced technology and software development.
Robin Jones - Board observer - Motorola Ventures. Mrs. Jones
leads Motorola's investment, M&A and portfolio management efforts
on the West Coast.
Michael Goren - Board observer - Executive Vice President
and General Counsel, for a number of affiliated corporations in
the Inter-Power Group, including Cardo Corporation, a company involved
in providing seed venture capital in the high technology area. An
Inter-Power company was the original developer of and holds a significant
interest in the $312 million Colver Power Plant, an electric power
generation plant. Mr. Goren took a lead position for Inter-Power
in certain major contracts and in the equity and debt financings
for the Colver Power Plant, and has been on the Executive Committee
(the Board) through development, financing, construction, and operation.
